EVTKUNLV reports whether the respondent has ever taken any unpaid leave from his or her job for at least one of the seven given reasons including own illness/medical care (see EVTKUNSELF), illness/medical care of another family (see EVTKUNFAM), childcare other than for illness (see EVTKUNCHCARE), eldercare other than for illness (see EVTKUNELCARE), vacation (see EVTKUNVAC), errands/personal reasons (see EVTKUNPERS) or birth/adoption of a child (see EVTKUNCHILD).

This information was gathered as part of the Leave Module of the ATUS interview. Analyses that include EVTKUNLV should use LVWT as the weight.
