Description

OTHERLANG indicates whether or not a non-English language interviewer was assigned to a designated respondent.

OTHERLANG was used by the BLS to assist in assigning interviewers. Whether or not a respondent required a non-English language interviewer may have been determined during the CPS interview or after contact with an individual other than the designated respondent.

Comparability

OTHERLANG is available beginning in 2006.
