HH_NUMKIDS
Description
HH_NUMKIDS reports the number of children under the age of 18 who live in the household.
Total household size is also available (see HH_SIZE). The total number of the respondent's own children living in the household is available as well (see HH_NUMOWNKIDS). Other variables simply indicate the presence of a child in the household (see HH_CHILD) or the presence of the respondent's own child in the household (see HH_OWNCHILD).
The number of children in the household was collected at the time of the ATUS interview, 2-5 months after the final CPS interview.
