DAY reports the day of the week of the diary day; that is, the day about which the respondent is reporting his/her activities. Days are recorded Sunday (1) through Saturday (7).

There are several other variables that report date information on the diary day. See DATE for the date of the diary day, MONTH for the month of the diary day, and YEAR for the year of the diary day.
